Did you know the famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci designed Fort Conde? The Fort is designed in the shape of a star. There were huge cannons facing the water in order to protect them from being attacked. The barracks were cool and dark because they are under the Fort. I learned that most soldiers were short. The hallways and doorways were very low because of this, I loved the Fort. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Demarco,
Thanks for educating me on the fact that Leonardo Da Vinci designed Fort Conde. I visited the Fort ,as a student, and knew it was the shape of a star but never knew Da Vinci designed the Fort.

It sounds like you guys really learned a lot from this tour. Would you want to do it again? Do you think 4th grade should do it next year? Do you find this valuable?
