In October Pre-K and Kindergarten went to the fair to view animals. The students prepared themselves for the trip by learning several new vocabulary words. The students enjoyed learning about livestock and exotic animals. They even had a chance to learn the process milk goes through before it hits the supermarket shelves, by viewing a cow milking demonstration.

Kindergarten and Pre-K went to the farm in November. The students identified similarities and differences of offspring and their parents. Students also expanded their vocabulary by learning the names of animals (ex: a baby goat is a kid, a mother pig is a sow). The students had a chance to touch and feed many of the animals. Everyone enjoyed learning how the farmers take care of everyone and everything on the farm.

January's field trip was a visit to Nassar's Gymnastics in Mobile, Al.
The students had a wonderful time learning new vocabulary words while having a good time. The vocabulary words for this trip were, gym, balance, tumble.

The Mr. Al concert was very entertaining. He introduced us to musical instruments and everyone in the audience sang and danced with Mr. Al. We learned a lot and had a tremendous amount of fun.
