I agree! It was a great presentation and a great effort on your teachers' part to plan all those fieldtrips and make it so that every child could go. I have looked for that presentation on the ABPC website, but can't find it. I would love some more information on how you implemented this idea--I would love for my school to also use fieldtrips as a way to enhance vocab. Could you please send me some information on this or email me your presentation, particularly on how you were able to pay for all the children to participate? I would really appreciate it! shera.norman@butlerco.k12.al.us

I am the 8th grade science teacher who visited your school on the Friday you were getting out for your Spring Break. Your work on the walls of every hallway is very impressive. Your administrators and teachers are so dedicated and are an inspiration to all of us teachers. Also, I really like your wetpaint page. In fact, you inspired me to create one. I will email the link to your medial specialists when I finish it. Keep up the terrific work!

I enjoyed listening to your children's podcast about going out on all those field trips. Your children are getting a great education.
Here is a link to a field trip that we did last year to some caves near our school. We took the whole school all at once. It was awesome.

I teach similar kinds of literacy activity with my undergrads at the University of South Florida in Tampa. This is the kind of work I hope my teachers will do when they are out there. Keep up this great work. It puts the kids in charge of their own learning.

I think you guys could work harder. I do think that you guy are making outstanding work. I would think you kids are in high school because of your language. I really like your site. Tell everyone you know about my class web site, The Blurb. If you have ever been to The Blurb you will probably know who I am. I am the almighty and powerful Melvin The Chicken Hunter. I just can't believe that elementary kids are doing this work. I think you could do better on the organizational part though. I will come back and tell other people about you guys if you keep making new content and tall everyone you know about The Blurb. Your site really is awesome.
Happy Thinking,
Melvin The Chicken Hunter

Students, you have done a wonderful job with your blog! I am so impressed with every single thing I have looked at so far. I love the way you have put your pictures in folders and your video is just awesome. I had never heard of George Hall Elementary and you all have now introduced me to a new school and because of you I feel like I am a part of your school! I have you bookmarked now and plan to visit frequently. Thank you all for such a wonderful job. You are definitely GLOBAL now and everyone and anyone can see what you are all about. Keep up the hard work! Excellent!!!!! Connie Stigler, Vestavia Hills Elementary East, Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

This is a cool site. Im jelous cause you get to go on field trips but we are in our third quarter, and we havent gone on any. Keep up the good work, i hope to see more neat things as the year goes on. you can also go to "guysread.typepad.com/theblurb" for some podcasting ideas. i will continuesly come back if you put more stuff up, and its a very cool website.
(if you like the blurb a lot, we are the top competitor to ouropus, so if u like the blurb, leave a comment that says that the blurb is better on our opus, ok?)
